Coleman was born in Blackpool Lancashire. Coleman attended Arnold School in Blackpool where she was the head girl. She also received straight As on her A-levels. While discussing her Emmerdale appearance Coleman confessed that she regretted not going to the university. When she was at school, Coleman was a part of a theater company named In Yer Space with whom she was a part of the Edinburgh Festival in the play Crystal Clear. The award was presented to her for her performance and the show was received favourably. Coleman won the Emmerdale part of Jasmine Thomas after auditioning with Drama schools. Coleman was nominated in 2007 for two Awards. The British Soap Awards nominated her as best newcomer. In the National Television Awards, she received the award for most popular newcomer. In 2009, she received nominations in two categories which included Best Actress-Sexiest Women and Best Dramatic Performance. Coleman got a nomination in the category of Best Actress from the TV Choice Awards. Steven Moffat, the producer of Doctor Who confirmed in a 21st March 2012 press conference that Coleman will portray Matt Smith's companion after Karen Gillan left. Moffat selected her for the role because she is the most effective with Smith and could speak more rapidly than him. Eva Larue..............................Eva LaRue is an American actor and model. Since 1987, she has participated in TV and film projects. Her work has been much more visible on television as opposed to films. Eva's TV roles on The Dr. Maria Santos, in All My Children, and the role of Detective Natalia Boa Vista in CSI Miami make an impact. Her first TV role earned the show two Daytime Emmy nominations, and gave her the opportunity to explore her passion for music. Eva is also an entrepreneur, philanthropist and the philanthropist. She has been married thrice and has a daughter from her first husband.
